About The Position

The School-Based Clinical Manager & Community Partner Liaison is responsible for providing clinical services, program oversight, staff support, and community partnership coordination within a school-based behavioral health program. This position serves as the primary liaison between the organization, local schools, community partners, referral sources, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and service delivery. During the academic school year, this position is primarily assigned to work on-site at a local school, where they provide direct clinical services, oversee day-to-day operations, support school-based staff, and ensure high-quality behavioral health services are delivered to students and families. The ideal candidate is a strong leader, skilled clinician, and relationship builder who is committed to trauma-informed, person-centered, and culturally responsive care.

Requirements

  • Active Ohio licensure as an LPC, LPCC, LSW, or LISW.
  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in behavioral health, school-based services, or a related setting.
  • Experience providing therapy services to youth and families.
  • Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and treatment planning skills.
  • Experience supervising, mentoring, or supporting clinical and non-clinical staff.
  • Experience collaborating with schools, community agencies, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to trauma-informed, person-centered, and culturally responsive care.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the organization and community partners.
  • Attend coordination, leadership, and stakeholder meetings as assigned.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with schools, community organizations, referral sources, and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication between school personnel, community partners, families, and organizational leadership.
  • Create, update, and maintain required program reports, data, and documentation.
  • Monitor service delivery and ensure alignment with organizational goals and partner expectations.
  • Identify and address program needs, barriers, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support community outreach efforts and partnership development activities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to increase program awareness, engagement, and utilization.
  • Coordinate services with external providers and agencies to support continuity of care.
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy services as clinically appropriate.
  • Conduct mental health assessments, screenings, evaluations, and risk assessments.
  • Develop, review, and update treatment plans.
  • Complete transition summaries and discharge documentation.
  • Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and all client-related contacts.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions and best practices.
  • Conduct crisis intervention and coordinate crisis response activities as needed.
  • Collaborate with families, school personnel, healthcare providers, and community agencies to support treatment goals.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust interventions as clinically indicated.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational, school-based, and regulatory documentation requirements.
  • Review clinical documentation completed by assigned staff to ensure accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Review and approve progress notes, treatment plans, assessments, and other clinical documentation as required by staff credentials, program requirements, and supervisory responsibilities.
  • Provide feedback, coaching, and corrective guidance to staff regarding documentation quality and clinical standards.
  • Monitor documentation compliance and address deficiencies in a timely manner.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to school-based staff.
  • Assist with staff recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, training, and retention efforts.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and ongoing professional development support.
  • Monitor staff productivity, documentation quality, and service delivery standards.
  • Support compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and program evaluation efforts.
  • Conduct regular chart reviews and documentation audits.
  • Monitor clinical quality and adherence to evidence-based practices through documentation review and supervision.
  • Provide clinical consultation and support to staff regarding treatment planning, service delivery, and documentation requirements.
  • Assist with problem-solving and resolution of client, staff, and operational concerns.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with schools, community agencies, healthcare providers, and referral sources.
  • Represent the organization at community meetings, school meetings, and stakeholder events.
  • Identify opportunities to expand services and strengthen community partnerships.
  • Assist with outreach, education, and awareness efforts related to behavioral health services.
  • Serve as an ambassador for the organization within the community.
  • Work collaboratively with community partners to improve access to services and strengthen referral relationships.
