About The Position

Woodfords Family Services has an immediate opening for a School-Based Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) in Mount Desert, ME. This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) and includes a competitive benefits and compensation package. Today, the organization provides a wide array of clinical, educational, behavioral health, residential, community and family support programs to more than 2,000 children, youth and adults with autism, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses throughout the state. Additionally, the agency is accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA), whose program of quality improvement is designed to identify providers that have met high performance standards and have made a commitment to their stakeholders to deliver the very best quality services.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience (paid or volunteer) working with children.
• BHP certification (course can be completed as part of employment and paid for by Woodfords)
• Valid driver's license with current auto insurance and use of a reliable vehicle

• Experience with the special needs population preferred.
