Centerstone is a leading nonprofit behavioral health system seeking dedicated employees to provide care that changes lives. This role involves serving all ages in various settings and offers rewarding opportunities. As a school-based behavioral health liaison, you will provide face-to-face consultation with classroom teachers to foster positive, trauma-informed classroom environments. Your goal is to enhance the learning environment for children at risk of developing emotional/behavioral problems or substance use disorders, or those with serious emotional disturbance (SED). You will also provide training and education on childhood mental health and trauma-informed behavior responses to teachers, assist in developing school-wide mental health initiatives, and offer psycho-educational groups and support to youth. The role includes acting as a liaison between families and schools, and assisting with the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) process and trauma-informed support plans when invited. Additionally, you will provide information and support to school personnel regarding the local behavioral health system and crisis services, maintain necessary documentation, and ensure compliance with performance evaluations.
