School Based Behavior Technician (BT) - Full-Time
About The Position
Granite State ABA Services, LLC, a Patterns Behavioral Services Company, is hiring a full-time School Based Behavior Technician to support children and young adults ages 2–21 in a Vermont school district. The position helps students build communication, independence, and other skills during the school day. The Behavior Technician provides one-to-one ABA support under the supervision of a BCBA and works with school and clinical teams to follow each student’s individualized plan. The schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; travel to assigned school sites may be required. Patterns/GSABA provides Applied Behavior Analysis therapy in clinics, homes, schools, and community-based settings. The organization describes a career path based on performance, formal training, and higher education. After an employee passes the Behavior Analyst Certification Board’s Registered Behavior Technician certification exam and HR receives proof of certification, a promotion with a pay increase is guaranteed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Reliable transportation and valid insurance.
- Experience working with children and in school settings.
- Ability to follow individualized plans and document services accurately.
- Reliable internet access for required remote meetings or documentation.
Nice To Haves
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is preferred; training is available for BT candidates.
- Interest in working with children and young adults with autism or other behavioral support needs.
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment goals and behavioral strategies developed by the supervising BCBA.
- Help students practice new skills and use replacement behaviors identified in their plans.
- Collect data during sessions and complete required documentation.
- Communicate with the BCBA and school team about student progress.
- Attend required team meetings and training.
