About The Position

The Off-Site Counseling program provides accessible behavioral and mental health support to children and families in their homes, schools, or other convenient locations within Howard County. Services include therapy, medication management, in-home and school-based counseling, group therapy, and family therapy, all tailored to meet individual and family needs. The program ensures flexible, high-quality care for those facing barriers to traditional in-office treatment, promoting better mental health and overall well-being. We are seeking a licensed or pre-licensed counselor or social worker to provide school-based and in-home individual and group therapy to children, adolescents, and their families/support systems in Howard County, MD. This opportunity is a partnership with Howard County Public Schools.

Requirements

• Must be licensed or pre-licensed in Maryland as a: Licensed Certificated Social Worker – Clinical (LCSW-C), Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC), or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral and mental health support through individual, family, and group therapy sessions in clients' homes, schools, or other convenient locations.
• Conduct assessments to evaluate clients’ functional levels and develop professional treatment plans tailored to their needs.
• Develops and updates treatment plans in collaboration with other team members and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Completes thorough documentation and reports to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and facilitates coordination of care.
• Availability for evening work 2 times a week to accommodate clients’ schedules and provide flexible, accessible care.
• Participate in weekly staff meetings and attend periodic training sessions to improve clinical skills.
• Collaborate with school staff and other community providers to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for clients.
