About The Position

The Learning Experience – Bristow is seeking a School Age Teacher to support children in our before- and after-school program. This role focuses on providing a structured environment where school-age students can complete homework, participate in enrichment activities, and build positive peer relationships. This position is ideal for educators who enjoy working with older children in a supportive and engaging setting.

Requirements

• High school diploma required
• Prior childcare or school-age program experience required
• Strong classroom supervision and communication skills
• Dependable and organized approach to supporting older learners
• Must meet Virginia childcare licensing requirements

Responsibilities

• Supervise school-age students during before- and after-school hours
• Support homework completion and independent learning habits
• Plan enrichment activities that encourage creativity and teamwork
• Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment
• Communicate with families regarding daily activities and participation
• Collaborate with center leadership and teaching team members
• Follow Virginia licensing and safety requirements
