About The Position
Chesterbrook Academy in Weddington, NC is seeking a creative and passionate School Age Teacher to join their team. The preschool program focuses on a balance of learning and play to help children develop academic and social skills, fostering a love of learning. The School Age Teacher will inspire curiosity, nurture confidence, and create meaningful and exciting learning experiences for young learners.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old and meet state licensing requirements.
- Previous experience in a licensed childcare center.
- Strong communication skills, reliability, and a nurturing, enthusiastic personality.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- CDA or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging lessons that promote exploration, early literacy, and critical thinking.
- Encourage independence and collaboration through hands-on, play-based learning.
