We’re currently seeking a School Age Group Leader to join our passionate team at our Grafton location. This vital role supports multiple classrooms, offering flexibility and variety while ensuring consistency in high-quality childcare. Requirements

  • 18 years or older with a minimum of 6 months experience in education required
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday with flexibility to work afternoons until 5:00 pm
  • Ability to spend extended periods of time on the floor with the children
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to stand up to 90% of the workday
  • Attentiveness, strong time management, and a team-focused mindset

Nice To Haves

  • EEC Preschool Teacher Certification, CDA, or equivalent degree and experience preferred
  • Daycare experience in a center-based or private school setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a group of school-age children during our afternoon program
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
  • Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities including arts and crafts, games, STEM, outdoor play, and group projects
  • Support children with homework, reading, and other school-related activities when needed
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with children and their families
  • Encourage cooperation, independence, problem-solving, and positive social interactions
  • Maintain consistent routines, expectations, and classroom structure
  • Use positive guidance and age-appropriate behavior management strategies
  • Supervise children closely and maintain active awareness of their safety and well-being
  • Communicate effectively with families and members of the teaching team
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment
  • Follow all health, safety, licensing, and center policies and procedures
  • Work collaboratively with the leadership team and other educators to provide a high-quality experience for every child
