About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring School-Age Childcare Staff for our After School Program at Royalston Community School for the 2026–2027 school year. This role is ideal for individuals who love working with children, possess energy, kindness, and patience, and enjoy encouraging children's curiosity, creativity, and confidence. The position requires teamwork, effective communication with families, and reliability. The program operates from 2:50 PM to 6:00 PM, following the school calendar.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree and at least three months of experience working with school-age children.
• A high school diploma or equivalent and at least six months of experience working with school-age children, including at least three months of supervised experience in a school-age childcare program.
• At least nine months of experience working with school-age children, including at least three months of supervised experience in a school-age childcare program.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
