About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring School-Age Childcare Staff for our Before and After School Program at Petersham Center School for the 2026–2027 school year. This role involves facilitating hands-on activities, providing a safe and fun environment, and acting as a positive role model for children aged 5-12. The position follows the school calendar, with morning program hours from 6:30 AM to 8:05 AM and afternoon program hours from 2:50 PM to 6:00 PM. Opportunities may be available for morning, afternoon, or both programs. This is a part-time, non-exempt position.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree and at least three months of experience working with school-age children.
• A high school diploma or equivalent and at least six months of experience working with school-age children, including at least three months of supervised experience in a school-age childcare program.
• At least nine months of experience working with school-age children, including at least three months of supervised experience in a school-age childcare program.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
