About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring School-Age Childcare Staff for our After School Program at our Lee F. Jackson Elementary School location for the 2026–2027 school year. This role involves working with children aged 5-12, engaging them through play and positive experiences, and ensuring their safety and well-being. The ideal candidate will be energetic, kind, patient, and able to encourage children's curiosity, creativity, and confidence. Collaboration with teammates and effective communication with families are essential. This part-time, non-exempt position follows the school calendar and offers a schedule that aligns with the school day, making it suitable for parents, education majors, or retirees looking for meaningful engagement.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, OR at least 1 year of experience working with children under the age of 13.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Ensure children are engaged, safe, and having fun every day.
• Maintain program quality that reflects Healthy Kids Program’s model.
• Ensure the site is fully staffed every day with prepared and supported teachers.
• Operate in ratio at all times.
• Maintain accurate and current records.
• Ensure the program is ready for inspection at any time.
• Ensure the site is well-stocked with necessary supplies and materials.
• Restock supplies before they run out.
