School-Age Childcare Site Director – Before & After School
About The Position
Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Site Director for our Before and After School Program at Park Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. This part-time, non-exempt position follows the school calendar, with morning program hours from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM and afternoon program hours from 3:05 PM to 6:05 PM. Opportunities may be available for morning, afternoon, or both programs. The role involves ensuring compliance with state regulations, leading engaging activities, supervising children and staff, overseeing daily operations, and serving as a liaison between families, school administration, and the main office. This role is ideal for experienced childcare professionals, education majors, parents seeking school-aligned hours, or retirees with relevant experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or the human services field plus 1 year of experience working with children under 13.
- Bachelor's Degree including 30 credit hours in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or the human services field plus 2 years of experience working with children under 13.
- Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or the human services field plus 3 years of experience working with children under 13.
- Associate's Degree including 30 credit hours in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or the human services field plus 4 years of experience working with children under 13.
- Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks
- Must be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB.
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with PA DHS/OCDEL school-age regulations
- Maintain child and staff files, attendance records, and required documentation onsite
- Keep the program organized and audit-ready
- Lead engaging activities (STEAM, fitness, academics, arts, homework support)
- Actively supervise children and staff, including playground oversight
- Maintain safe staff-to-child ratios and strong behavior management
- Oversee daily attendance, registration, and scheduling
- Serve as liaison between families, school administration, and the Healthy Kids main office
- Communicate clearly and professionally using the Playground App
