School-Age Childcare Site Director – After School
About The Position
Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Site Director for our After School Program at Oxmoor Valley Elementary Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. This part-time, non-exempt position follows the school calendar, with afternoon program hours from Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM. The ideal candidate loves working with children, brings energy, kindness, and patience, and enjoys encouraging children's curiosity, creativity, and confidence. This role requires working well with teammates and communicating effectively with families, while being reliable, organized, and committed to providing exceptional care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or early childhood coursework preferred
- 1–3 years of experience working with children in a school, childcare, camp, or youth program setting
- Some experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred
- Familiarity with before- and after-school program environments a plus
- Knowledge of state childcare licensing or school-age care regulations helpful but not required
- Calm, flexible, and resourceful in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to pass required background and fingerprint clearances.

Responsibilities
- Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
- Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
- Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
- Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
