About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Lead for our Before and After School Program at Penn-Bernville Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. This role involves leading engaging activities in a safe and fun environment where children can grow and thrive. The position is ideal for individuals who love working with children, leading activities, and being part of a positive, supportive team. The program is located at Penn-Bernville Elementary School in Bernville, PA.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field
• Bachelor’s degree including 30 credit hours in the above fields plus 1 year of relevant experience
• Associate’s degree in the above fields plus 2 years of relevant experience
• Associate’s degree including 30 credit hours in the above fields plus 3 years of relevant experience
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credentials plus 2 years of relevant experience
• 18 years of age
• Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks
• Must be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB.
• Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Providing a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observing state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing.
