About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a part-time School-Age Childcare Assistant for its After School Program at Croydon Village School in Croydon, New Hampshire, for the 2026–2027 school year. The program follows the school calendar and operates from 2:15 to 5:30 p.m. The pay rate is $16.00 per hour. The role supports children ages 5–12 through engaging activities, homework support, and a safe, positive after-school environment.

The assistant facilitates activities from the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities. The role also involves following applicable state, program, and school policies and supporting operations such as attendance records, registration, and staffing. Healthy Kids Programs provides childcare for eligible school-age children enrolled in its program during the employee’s working days and hours.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be medically cleared of communicable diseases, including tuberculosis.
• Must be warm, friendly, and upbeat, with exceptional people skills.
• Must be professional, reliable, and prompt.
• Must be physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds, and keep up with the children.

Nice To Haves

• Preferably one year of experience working with children under 13.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities based on the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities, as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
