About The Position
The School-Age Childcare Assistant works in an after-school program at Taconic Elementary School in Manchester Center, Vermont. The position follows the school calendar and is scheduled from 2:40 to 5:30 PM on school days during the 2026–2027 school year. The role involves helping create a fun, welcoming after-school environment for children, supporting their friendships through games and activities, and serving as a positive influence during their afternoons. Pay is $16.00 to $17.50 per hour, with payday every other Friday.
Requirements
- Enjoys working with school-age children.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Comfortable working in a structured school setting.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with children is helpful but not required.
