Requirements

PASSION FOR WORKING WITH SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN!!
Minimum age - 18 years old
Team player with personal commitment to YMCA Mission, Philosophy & Character Development Values.
Must be enrolled in High School or possess a High School Diploma or an equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Previous child care or group work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Uphold the mission of the YMCA, and demonstrate behaviors that reflect a determined, nurturing, genuine, hopeful, and welcoming nature.
Possess the willingness of 100% COMMITMENT in actively engaging with school-age children both indoors and outdoors and have FUN!
Lead group activities and assist with homework
Maintains positive relationships with the members, participants and other staff
Knows, understands, and consistently applies all safety rules
Attends all trainings and staff meetings as assigned
Completes required abuse risk management training.
Adheres to policies and procedures in managing high-risk activities and appropriate boundaries of supervision.
Reports suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations to supervisor.
Follows mandated abuse reporting requirements to authorities.
Complete free CPR and First Aid certification within the first 90 days of hire.
