Associated Recreation Council (ARC) is seeking a School Age Childcare Assistant Director for the Jefferson Community Center. This is a full-time, year-round role ideal for a motivated individual with strong leadership and organizational skills who is passionate about creating a positive, enriching environment for children ages 5–12. The Assistant Director will support the overall operation of the program, assist in supervising staff, and play a key role in developing and leading activities that engage and inspire. ARC, in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, serves Seattle by offering access to licensed childcare and a variety of recreational and lifelong learning programs, classes, and activities. In this role, the School Age Childcare Assistant Director will support the planning, organization, and daily operations of the school-age childcare program. The Assistant Director will help lead engaging activities, support staff, maintain licensing requirements, and foster a safe, fun, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all children and families. The schedule is Monday-Friday, up to 35 hours per week during the school year and up to 40 hours during the summer. The typical schedule will vary based on program needs, including before-school care, after-school care, school breaks, planning time, trainings, and team meetings.
