About The Position

Performs advanced administrative, records management, and financial support functions to ensure effective school operations. Coordinates office procedures and supports compliance with district, state, and federal requirements. Oversees daily office operations and coordinates workflow among support staff. Maintains student records, transcripts, immunization records, and health files. Processes enrollment/withdrawal documentation and ensures compliance with regulations. Prepares attendance verification, eligibility, and related reports. Assists with payroll processing and substitute documentation. Collects, records, deposits, and reconciles school funds in accordance with procedures. Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment; oversees ordering. Issues building keys and monitors office equipment maintenance. Assists with preparation of newsletters, reports, meeting agendas, and minutes. Coordinates collection and processing of required district, state, and federal forms. For High School positions: Assists with graduation preparation, GPA calculations, and related documentation. May facilitate athletic eligibility verification and related recordkeeping. Provides first aid and administers/monitors medication in compliance with policy. May train and provide guidance to School Specialist I staff or student assistants.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three (3) years clerical, secretarial, bookkeeping, or school office experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications and accounting systems
  • Knowledge of school office procedures and student information systems
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping practices
  • Ability to reconcile records and maintain accurate documentation
  • Ability to interpret and apply district policies and procedures
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to train and oversee others
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and database systems
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework in office practices or business preferred
  • CPR/First Aid Certification

Benefits

  • Non-Recurring Pay: 6% of base salary in Non-Recurring Pay (distributed as 3% on November paycheck and 3% on May paycheck)
  • Staffing Stability Incentive (for specific schools): All Teachers/SSPs will receive an additional $5,000 split over two payments ($2,500 in November and $2,500 in May) (prorated based off of FTE)
  • Teaching and SSP Staff qualify to receive an additional 10 extra days (beyond the District Calendar), paid at the per diem rate. Five (5) days for USIP design and five (5) days as “collaborative flex” days.
  • One-step increase (paid monthly) for positions at Mitchell High School
  • Pay for Performance Bonus for positions at Mitchell High School
  • Additional 10% to Base Pay for specific hard-to-fill positions (OT, PT, School Nurses, Audiologists, & School Psychologists)
  • Additional 15% to Base Pay for SLP positions
