About The Position

Paper packaging manufacturing company located in the Waukegan/North Chicago area is looking for a Production Scheduler to manage the multi-level scheduling for production orders in both Illinois and Texas. You will ensure continuous plant operations and prevent downtime.

Requirements

Packaging (paper) experience is preferred.
Must have at least 5 years of complex scheduling multi-level production jobs.
Must have experience working in an MRP type system.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Good organizational and record keeping skills.
Experience in Microsoft, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the use of PPE.
Must complete ongoing training as required.

Responsibilities

Scheduling of production orders considering inventory, lead times, and capacity.
Knowledge of machine capabilities, ink, paper stock, and cartons for effective scheduling.
Proactively reviewing material supply and requirements to determine appropriate actions to avoid material shortages in production. Make changes to schedules as required.
Identify opportunities for improvement.
Must be able to multi-task in a changing environment.
Working jointly with other team members to identify options when supply is constrained.
