About The Position

The Production Scheduler plays a critical role in converting demand and production plans into executable, capacity-aligned assembly schedules for Gift Operations. This is a planning-centric, at-desk role based on site, with direct accountability for validating material readiness, shelf-life constraints, and labor capacity prior to schedule release. This position is laser-focused on feasibility: ensuring pre-build and in-season production plans are executable, FEFO-compliant, and aligned with throughput limits and selling windows in a high-volume, seasonal environment. Bottom line—this role bridges strategy and execution and materially impacts service, waste, and operational performance.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in production scheduling, supply chain planning, or operations analysis
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proven ability to interpret demand plans, BOMs, inventory positions, and capacity data
  • Proficiency in Excel and planning/scheduling systems
  • Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in at-desk scheduling or planning roles supporting assembly or warehouse operations
  • Experience managing shelf-life or expiration-dated inventory using FEFO principles
  • Familiarity with WMS, ERP, or advanced planning tools
  • Background in high-volume, seasonal environments
  • Continuous improvement or process optimization experience

Responsibilities

  • Translate demand and production plans from Planning into clear, executable daily and weekly assembly schedules
  • Validate component availability, material readiness, and expiration dating to ensure plans are feasible and FEFO-compliant
  • Assess labor capacity and line throughput to align schedules with available resources and operational constraints
  • Identify gaps and proactively escalate risks related to demand, materials, shelf-life coverage, and capacity limitations
  • Manage pre-build timing to support selling windows while minimizing aging and expiration exposure
  • Communicate schedules, assumptions, trade-offs, and risks clearly to Production, Planning, Inventory, and Quality partners
  • Monitor schedule adherence, inventory aging, and expiration risk using system data and performance reporting
  • Support peak and seasonal planning by modeling capacity scenarios and pre-build strategies
  • Track and report key performance metrics including schedule attainment, capacity utilization, and aging exposure
  • Drive continuous improvement in scheduling accuracy, information flow, and FEFO execution

Benefits

  • High-impact planning role with direct influence on production execution and inventory health
  • Opportunity to balance demand, capacity, and shelf-life strategy in a complex, seasonal operation
  • Strong cross-functional visibility and partnership with Planning, Supply Chain, Production, and Quality teams
  • Environment that values problem-solving, accountability, and continuous improvement
