About The Position

The Production Scheduler position coordinates material movement within the Lenox plant. This position supports the supply chain vision to have Michael Foods, Inc. be recognized by our customers, suppliers, and fellow Michael Foods employees as leaders of the most effective, responsive, and progressive supply chain organization in the food processing industry, while strategically contributing to profitable growth. This position has the responsibility to comply with Safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Advanced computer skills in Word, Excel and SAP.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to multi-task and solve problems effectively.
  • Strong focus on specifics
  • High regard for data integrity

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for reconciling production orders, verifying production records match levels entered into SAP, and performing changes or physical counts as needed for accurate final confirmations that confirm inventory quantities match actual quantity.
  • Compiles data and generates reports by entering data into computer, determining information to include in reports, verifying data and distributing reports to appropriate parties.
  • Tracks KPI’s, generates and posts reports, assists production in updating KPI boards.
  • Manages daily production transactions for inventory control of raw, semi-finished, and finished goods. As well as daily liquid reconciliation.
  • Tracks rework and un-saleable inventories and directs usage.
  • Evaluates data to pinpoint issues in collaboration with various departments.
  • Must be flexible and prepared to deliver last minute analyzed reports to the detail requested.
  • Responsible for completing transactions at month end to assist accounting department with closing the month.
  • Assume personal responsibility to ensure a safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and incorporate safety and healthy in all jobs and tasks.
  • Adhere to Quality work practices, follow all GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety and quality.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
