About The Position

The primary function of this role is to accurately schedule patients for outpatient procedures. This includes pre-registering patients by entering information into the computer accurately, professionally, and courteously.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED preferred.
  • One or two years of college preferred.
  • Hospital or similar medical facility experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to coordinate and maintain complex schedules with a high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent customer service, written communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and scheduling software
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired concerning the personal, financial, medical or employment status or patients of Bradley Medical Center and their families.
  • Must follow and enforce accepted safety practices for patients and hospital.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement activities.
  • Communicate in an acceptable, easily understood manner.
  • Responsible for scheduling of patients for outpatient procedures.
  • Responsible for pre-keying patient accounts to create account number.
  • Provide accurate scheduling of patients in accordance with the department scheduling guidelines.
