About The Position

This role involves scheduling outpatient hospital procedures over the phone, providing a high-level customer service experience, obtaining and verifying orders and referrals from providers, collecting patient demographics, verifying insurance authorizations for procedures, and providing patients with instructions for test/procedure preparation.
Requirements
- High school Diploma or equivalent.
- Medical Terminology
- Data entry, and technical skills including 50-60 keystrokes per min.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience min of 1 year in medical office, or hospital-based setting.
Responsibilities
- Schedule outpatient hospital procedures over the phone, while providing a high-level customer service experience.
- Obtain, verify orders and referrals from providers.
- Obtaining patient demographics.
- Verify that ordered procedures have been authorized by insurance.
- Provide instructions to patients on test / procedure preparation.
