About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical/Dental Scheduler to join our team. The Medical/Dental Scheduler will be responsible for scheduling appointments, coordinating with medical staff, and ensuring that patients receive the care they need in a timely and efficient manner. Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated experience with Windows-based programs
Exceptional verbal communication and customer service skills
Knowledge of Medical terminology
Ability to prioritize, problem solve and multi-task.
Two years’ work experience with medical practice or clinic administration.

Nice To Haves

Medical billing and use of an electronic medical records (EMR) system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Schedule appointments for patients
Coordinate with medical staff to ensure that patients receive the care they need
Communicate with patients to confirm appointments and provide necessary information, scheduling including the verification of patient insurance eligibility and entry of patient insurance.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient appointments and medical staff schedules
Ensure that all scheduling is done in a timely and efficient manner
Provide excellent customer service to patients and medical staff
Collect Patient Payments
Answer telephones, take messages, and direct telephone calls as appropriate
Collect data updates and enter into system
Check Voicemails
Scan paperwork into charts
Create batches to post payments
Schedule appoints with Financial Counselor if needed

Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings.
Maintain neat and orderly work area.
Maintain confidentiality in accordance with RHC policy and any other applicable regulatory requirements.
Treat patients, visitors and coworkers with respect and dignity.
Provide coverage for absent team members.
Other duties as assigned including, but not limited to, medical records.
