About The Position

Westchester Village is a 5-star senior living community offering independent living, assisted living, short-term rehab, and long-term care. We are seeking a dedicated Scheduling and Nursing Support Manager to lead and guide a team of nurse aides, oversee nursing staff scheduling, and manage nursing supply inventory. This role requires reliability, organization, excellent scheduling, and communication skills.

Requirements

  • Certified CNA or CMA with supervisory experience or equivalent.
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in navigating the internet.
  • Intermediate typing skills.
  • Knowledge of office equipment.
  • Excellent phone skills with an emphasis on customer service.
  • Ability to read, write and understand English.
  • Organizational skills, for example ability to create strategies and solutions for facilitating work flow.
  • Ability to prioritize, initiate and work independently.

Nice To Haves

  • One-year experience scheduling in a long-term health care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, develop, and lead CNA and CMA roles, including participating in interviews.
  • Schedule all nursing staff employees within budgetary guidelines.
  • Evaluate performance of CNA and CMA staff, performing coaching and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Oversee the development of CNA and CMA staff and ensure regulatory and community training is completed.
  • Ensure staff are properly trained to use POC within Point Click Care.
  • Oversee meal service.
  • Review and approve time sheets and time off requests.
  • Attend and participate in leadership and team meetings.
  • Ensure CNA and CMA staff attend team meetings and trainings.
  • Uphold all policies, rules, and regulations for the community and governing agencies.
  • Report to and work with DON on team goals, development, and initiatives.
  • Follow and uphold the community’s philosophy and goals for resident care and quality of life.
  • Follow safety policies in performing nursing care and assuring resident safety.
  • Follow and understand the community’s Emergency Preparedness plans.
  • Follow infection control guidelines.
  • Observe residents’ rights, including privacy and dignity.
  • Promote positive public relations with residents, family members, and guests.
  • Work as part of a team to help ensure the Medicare Triple Check process is complete.
  • Maintain inventory of all nursing supplies and complete supply orders.
  • Participate in call rotation and nurse on duty as assigned.
  • Assist with keeping track of nursing hours for the monthly PBJ report.
