About The Position

Supporting Whiting-Turner Schedule Manager with group and project specific responsibilities. Development of pursuit and proposal schedules, master project schedules, and detailed construction schedules. This role involves data entry of activities, durations, and sequences into Oracle Primavera scheduling software, with training provided. The candidate will also be expected to become familiar with other schedule software platforms. Responsibilities include schedule management and controls, schedule updating by collecting progress and incorporating it into scheduling software, and reporting through preparing schedule update reports and graphics per contract requirements. Schedule analysis involves developing and analyzing the impact of issues on the project schedule, collecting scheduling metrics, and creating spreadsheets/databases to interpret and visualize data. Technical review of the project schedule’s quality and performance (health) is also required. Data mining from as-built schedules for historical metrics and performing square footage and quantity take-offs for estimating are part of the role. The position also includes cost loading of schedule activities and maintaining cost information through the updating process, as well as management of Whiting-Turner’s schedule database and Primavera software. If assigned to a project site, responsibilities will include attending project meetings (WT, Owner, Subcontractor), walking the project site to independently confirm progress and completion of schedule activities, and collecting information from lean scheduling meetings to update the CPM.

Requirements

Familiarity with Oracle Primavera scheduling software (training provided)
Familiarity with other schedule software platforms
Ability to perform square footage and quantity take-offs
Ability to collect progress and incorporate it into scheduling software

Schedule analysis
