Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute is seeking a full-time Scheduling Coordinator - Floater for their West Region. This position travels to Tampa & Wesley Chapel and works Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The Scheduling Coordinator will communicate regularly with physicians, patients, ancillary and surgical areas to manage the scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellation of single or multiple tests and procedures. They will provide accurate information regarding department/procedure specific scheduling criteria to ensure patient preparation, arrival location, and time are optimized. The role requires proactive customer engagement, excellent telephone etiquette, a team player attitude, and professional communication skills, embodying Orlando Health's Patient First Philosophy. The coordinator must demonstrate working knowledge of registration and scheduling systems, web-based resources, computer applications, multi-line telephone systems, printers, and copy/fax machines, including required data entry. A basic understanding of medical needs during the screening process for appointment scheduling is necessary. The role involves daily review of schedules, communication of changes to appropriate staff, and meeting departmental goals for productivity, quality, and customer service. A working knowledge of ICD-9 (ICD-10) and CPT codes may be required. The coordinator will identify and resolve customer service issues or initiate necessary follow-up, adhere to the Orlando Health Professional Appearance Policy, and maintain punctual attendance and compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Other duties include maintaining communication with practices regarding scheduling, attending departmental meetings, and participating in process improvement initiatives, while taking responsibility for professional growth and development.
