About The Position

Garfield Park Behavioral Hospital provides inpatient psychiatric and partial hospitalization treatment for children and adolescents, ages 3 to 17. Come be a part of our winning team of professionals and make a difference. As Scheduling Coordinator, your responsibilities will include: Scheduling nursing unit staff. Determining and ensuring appropriate unit staffing ratio. Adhering to nursing FTE standards and managing daily reporting in Excel according to Hospital policy, reporting to DON. Accurately communicating to Nurse Managers/House Supervisor regarding staff, cues and acuity levels. Collecting and computinge staffing statistics on a daily basis and communicating statistics to Nurse Leaders (Attendance, tardiness, and meal alerts). Cerical and administrative assignments to support department operation. Reporting hospital staffing totals to Hospital Leaders, in order to identify current staffing ratios designed to manage patient admissions. Identifying unit duties of all Nursing Staff in order to report hours worked for payroll. Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma required, Bachelor degree in Behavioral Health or Psychology highly preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years previous experience in Behavioral Health and/or 2+ years Staffing Coordinator experience preferred.
  • Additional Requirements: CPR certification and Completion of Handle With Care training within 90 days of employment.

  • Bachelor degree in Behavioral Health or Psychology highly preferred.
