About The Position

Methodist Hospital is looking to hire a staffing coordinator to join our team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day. Uphold and validate the FTE structure of unit by utilizing and maintaining several reports including; the position control report, vacation granting tool, weekend scheduling calculator, absentee reports, seniority reports and the education calendar. This role is responsible for collaborating with leaders, identifying next in line hiring options, creating and maintaining balanced employee schedules to ensure staffing needs are met. Schedules must be completed in a timely manner, ensuring guidelines, polices, and respective union contracts rules are met. This position is responsible for employee timecards; employee timecards are thoroughly reviewed for accuracy, validating edits from employees, verifying codes are correct, adjusting premium pay, moving worked time into correct durations and adding missed information prior to final unit leader approval bi-weekly for payroll processing. This position is considered frontline staff, to assist in education of unit employees and leadership with scheduling and payroll policies and processes for both non contract and union contract employees. Must maintain positive relationships with leaders and staff while fostering a positive team culture based on core values of excellence, compassion, partnership, and integrity.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or 2 years staffing or scheduling experience in a hospital environment or clinic
  • Previous timecard automated systems desired
  • Customer service experience with strong oral/written communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities
