Our experienced team of cardiologists, vascular specialists, nurses, and support staff work together to provide comprehensive cardiac services focused on prevention, early detection, diagnosis, and treatment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; three years of directly related experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Prior scheduling experience in a healthcare environment strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and billing processes preferred.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including experience with scheduling or electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain accuracy under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate patient scheduling for testing, procedures, consultations, and admissions, ensuring alignment with provider availability, facility capacity, and clinical priorities.
  • Verify and obtain insurance authorizations and pre-certifications, accurately documenting approval details within scheduling and registration systems.
  • Collect and maintain accurate patient demographic, insurance, and referral information to support efficient registration, billing, and continuity of care.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for incoming calls, providing professional assistance to patients, providers, and internal staff while addressing scheduling inquiries and concerns.
  • Communicate appointment details, preparation instructions, and procedural requirements to patients and physician offices to ensure readiness for services.
  • Maintain accurate records within electronic health record (EHR) and scheduling systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary departments to coordinate urgent appointments, resolve scheduling conflicts, and promote efficient patient flow.
