About The Position

Mountain West Consulting is seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to lead high-impact infrastructure and energy projects across the Phoenix Metro Area. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on delivering excellence in safety, cost control, and scheduling for complex mechanical construction initiatives. You’ll be working at the center of mission-critical projects that power our communities and industries. This role will ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. You’ll work closely with engineers, architects, utility providers, and local officials on projects that support energy, industrial, and public infrastructure development. Requirements

Bachelor's degree preferred.
4+ years of experience as a Project Scheduler/Projects Controls Specialist/Project Coordinator
Primavera P6/Microsoft Projects
Strong people management and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
Detail-oriented.
A high degree of skill in written and oral communications.
Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security pre-employment background check.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
Project Controls experience
Cost planning management experience
Previous systems experience and understanding of their reporting interfaces

Nice To Haves

OSHA 10/30 – Construction Safety course completion, additional training in electrical safety, vertical construction, LOTO
Any related certifications preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Proficient Primavera P6/Microsoft Projects
Excellent computer skills within the Microsoft Office Suite
Detail oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
Provide support to detailed schedule development based on project understanding from team members
Provide support to track project progress and perform analysis of bottlenecks, trends, and critical path
Identify and communicate project risks and develop mitigation plans
Prepare project status presentations, highlighting key accomplishments, risks, and changes
Develop custom projects reports as needed to facilitate project discussions
Provide additional support as required/needed by the project manager(s) or project controls manager (including field project coordination and management of sub-projects)
Track project deliverable & monitor physical percent complete (tracking installed quantities)
Develop customized schedule reports as per project needs (two week look ahead, variance reports, progress reports, milestone reports as needed).
