About The Position

Wieland is hiring a Scheduler. The Scheduler will be responsible for the timely coordination and execution of shipping and scheduling functions to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders. This role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments including Sales, Quality, Materials, and Production. The Scheduler serves as a key player in the final stages of the supply chain, ensuring professional and efficient customer service while maintaining accurate records and logistics documentation. This role is located in Texas City, TX and will be fully on-site.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in scheduling, shipping, logistics coordination, or related administrative roles.
  • Experience in manufacturing or metal processing environments is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Experience with ERP systems; Oracle experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong data entry skills and familiarity with logistics documentation.
  • Ability to perform unit and measurement conversions and calculations accurately.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate scheduling of customer orders to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Prepare and process job packets and print layouts for the operators.
  • Save all complete layouts.
  • Printing the Shop Schedules and labels.
  • Coordinate closely with Production, Sales, and Quality teams to resolve order discrepancies and support accurate fulfillment.
  • Provide responsive, professional customer service and follow through on outstanding orders or issues.
  • Utilize ERP systems (such as Oracle or PowerCerv) for data entry, order processing, and invoicing.
  • Maintain accurate, organized records.
  • Respond promptly to emails, calls, and internal communications.
  • Support a respectful and inclusive work environment, free of harassment and discrimination.
  • Adhere to company safety policies and participate in maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Perform additional scheduling and other related duties as assigned.
