About The Position

Powerstaff is partnering with a leading global project management and advisory organization to recruit experienced Senior Schedulers for major data center construction programs across the United States. Our client supports some of the largest and most complex infrastructure projects globally, providing project controls, scheduling, and advisory services to major owners, contractors, and development partners. With significant growth across the data center sector, this is an opportunity for an experienced Scheduler to join a high-performing team and play a key role in delivering mission critical projects. As a Senior Scheduler, you will support major data center projects, working closely with owners, contractors, and project teams to manage schedules, identify risks, and improve project outcomes. This is a client-facing position requiring strong Primavera P6 capability, commercial awareness, and the confidence to provide independent advice, challenge contractor schedules, and communicate recommendations to stakeholders. The primary requirement is based in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. The role will involve approximately 50% office-based work and 50% supporting project sites within 1 - 3 hours from the office. Site travel will be within Texas and can range from approximately 1 to 3 hours depending on project location. Travel expenses will be covered where applicable.

Requirements

  • Experienced Scheduler or Project Controls professional with strong construction scheduling experience.
  • Ability to operate in a client-facing environment.
  • Strong hands-on Primavera P6 experience.
  • Experience managing complex construction schedules.
  • Strong understanding of CPM, logic, float, and critical path analysis.
  • Experience reviewing and challenging contractor schedules.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain project experience.
  • Experience working with owners, contractors, and major project teams.
  • Ability to work independently and provide trusted advice.

Nice To Haves

  • Data center or mission critical project experience.
  • MEP, electrical power, or commissioning experience.
  • Experience through construction, energization, commissioning, IST, and RFS phases.
  • Large-scale infrastructure project experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update construction schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Review and assess contractor schedules, progress, and performance.
  • Identify critical path activities, delays, risks, and schedule impacts.
  • Perform delay, variance, and recovery analysis.
  • Support mitigation planning and schedule improvement strategies.
  • Review baseline schedules, milestones, look-ahead schedules, and progress updates.
  • Identify schedule quality issues including poor logic, open ends, constraints, and excessive lags.
  • Assess the impact of changes on project timelines.
  • Provide clear reporting and schedule recommendations to clients and project teams.
  • Participate in meetings and confidently communicate your professional opinion.
