About The Position

Our Scheduler opportunity is a unique role that will allow you to learn more about GEA Nutrition Plant Engineering Technology and be a part of a new phase in our mission of delivering exceptional Technology to our customers. Basic understanding in Lean and continuous improvement tools and processes and ability to lead these types of processes/projects is a must
Self-Motivated and high ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to understand and contribute to strategic goals for the department
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management or other related field or High School Diploma or equivalent with 10 plus years of relevant experience in manufacturing/production planning
Minimum 3 years' experience in Manufacturing/Production Planning or Minimum 3 years' experience in use of an ERP system

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a job shop or engineer to order manufacturing setting is highly desired

Responsibilities

Create and maintain production, work, and shipment schedules.
Maintain production capacity schedule and forecast
Prioritize work orders to ensure an optimization of resources
Confer with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates.
Assist in solving production problems.
Interact with shop floor management daily to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies.
Provide additional information as requested from Manufacturing and Project Managers.
Compiling status and performance reports and submitting them to management in a timely manner.
Works with supply chain for timely delivery of materials to the shop floor.
Develop and achieve department/company goal and controls.
Actively identify and drive areas of cost reduction, processes, quality and productivity improvements (lean initiatives)
Promptly informing the relevant departments of changes to the planned production schedule.
Evaluate staffing needs to accommodate current and future production workflows.
Create and implement new tracking measures to improve workflows and efficiencies.
Participate and support Production excellence data gathering and input into global systems for reporting
Leads daily status update meetings to the workshop team
