As a Lead Scheduler at Pierce Manufacturing, you’ll be at the heart of our production engine—transforming forecasts and strategic plans into precise, executable schedules that drive our world-class emergency vehicle assembly lines. This is your opportunity to play a critical role in ensuring our iconic products reach communities when they’re needed most. You’ll collaborate across departments, from Sales and Marketing to Materials and GPSC, to synchronize supply, demand, and production efficiency in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a related field
  • Four plus years of related work experience

Nice To Haves

  • Previous scheduling or planning experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Advanced computer skills especially in Microsoft Excel
  • Understanding of Lean principles
  • Supply chain studies at the college level
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems
  • APICS certification or exposure

Responsibilities

  • Creates master schedule slots and assignment of forecast groups
  • Reschedules based upon changes to line rates or production performance
  • Sequencing within the day to align within production capability
  • Coordinates with Sales on reassignment of forecast groups or model mix changes per the Firm Order Review process
  • Perform planning bill quarterly maintenance - update percentages based upon history and projections from Sales and Marketing
  • Coordinate with Tactical and Materials departments on planning safety stock to support sales changes.
  • Utilize history to determine required safety stock to support future planned shipments.
  • Learn all aspects of Scheduling including SIOP generation of line rates to support shipment plan taking the revised shipment plan, and develop a supply plan and inventory plan create line rates that will achieve the supply plan coordinate with GPSC to create an achievable supply plan
  • Interface with Materials on PFEP, inventory control, and materials management
  • Learn the materials transactions process to assist in managing inventory accuracy of finished goods, contract manufacturing, and inter-company transfers/sales
