About The Position

APSI is currently seeking a Scheduler II/III to join our corporate team in Irvine, CA. This is an in-house position supporting APSI’s corporate staff and internal project scheduling needs. The position level (Scheduler II or Scheduler III) will be determined based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of scheduling experience on large-scale vertical construction projects, with 5–7 years for Scheduler II and 7+ years for Scheduler III
  • Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam or other project review tools.
  • Self-starter with a proactive, results-oriented mindset and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous work experience as a scheduler.
  • Very good knowledge of construction means and methods, sequencing, and strong knowledge of Oracle P6, including MS Office Suite and Bluebeam.
  • Exposure to utility and infrastructure coordination within large-scale sites.
  • Working knowledge of earned value and forensic schedule analysis.
  • Ability to collaborate in a joint venture or multi-partner delivery model.

Responsibilities

  • Updating and maintaining detailed program schedules using Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Supporting cost and resource loading across various project schedules.
  • Running reports on schedule performance, including cash flow forecasts and earned value metrics.
  • Assisting with the preparation of “what-if” scenarios to assess schedule risk and resequencing impacts.
  • Performing preliminary Time Impact Analysis (TIA) reviews and collaborating on delay resolution.
  • Helping to maintain schedule standards, templates, and controls documentation.
  • Participating in status update meetings and coordination sessions.
  • Supporting senior staff with quality assurance checks on scheduling deliverables.
  • Assisting with change order evaluation related to time and schedule implications.
  • Review of contractor baseline schedules, monthly/weekly schedule updates, revisions.
  • Coordinating closely with cost control and document management teams.
  • Analyzing cost and resource loading in the baseline and monthly schedule update and run regular cash flow reports.
  • Preparing what-if scenario schedules that are based on change in sequence and inform management of possible outcome of the re-sequence.
  • Reviewing/analyzing time impacts and provide time impact resolution. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
