Scope of Position Entry - level position to develop foundational skills and knowledge of basic scheduling fundamentals, tools, and processes. Assists Lead Scheduler/Sr. Scheduler with development, preparation, and maintenance of project schedules with oversight. Develops knowledge and understanding of reporting associated with scheduling and communication required with project teams.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) principles, as it applies to Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to implement practices such as baseline development/implementation, applying actuals, percent completes, remaining durations, project lev el calendars, activity codes, project settings for calculations and baseline comparisons.
  • Basic comprehension of blueprint reading.
  • Basic comprehension of contract specifications.
  • Solid analytic ability with excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to organize and manage complex tasks, establish and meet schedules , and maintain focus on goals.
  • Knowledge of industry planning and scheduling practices and construction methods.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Lead/Senior Scheduler with properly applying and tracking actual start and finish status for procurement and construction activities with the project team, including submittts, RFIs, and other project milestones.
  • Learn how to compare actual progress against planned work activities.
  • Learn how to facilitate schedule update meetings through guidance from Lead/ Senior Schedulers.
  • Assist in generating and distributing look - ahead schedules for the project team.
  • Learn and assist in writing monthly report ing requirements , including narratives.
  • Learn how to analyze schedules and describe schedule/float paths to achieve project completion.
  • Assist the Lead/ Senior Scheduler in managing multiple projects and teams.
  • Learn how to apply Haskell Scheduling policy, best practices, and processes.
  • Assist in the creation and updating of construction project schedules.
  • Assist the Lead/ Senior Scheduler in apply ing contractual and project requirements to the schedule while gaining an understanding of the project scope and the relation to the contract.
  • Assist the Lead/ Senior Scheduler with schedule change management.
  • Apply schedule data integrity efforts in accordance with best practices and company standards.
  • Support communication efforts regarding the schedule to project teams and internal leadership.
  • Assist Lead/ Senior Scheduler in adding delay fragnets and the net affects to contractual dates.
  • Participate actively in schedule training.
  • Attend safety training for the project to ensure safety is executed properly while on project sites.
  • Obtain OSHA 10 training certification/ attend Haskell Safety Program.
  • Travel, as necessary, to support scheduling efforts with the Lead or Senior Scheduler.
  • Support continual improvement efforts of scheduling practices and processes.
  • Other duties which may be assigned as needed.
