You will serve as a key resource for patients and their families, providing support in person, over the phone, and through electronic medical records. Additionally, you will address questions and concerns, escalating issues as appropriate to ensure exceptional patient care and service.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Business or relevant degree required.
  • 2+ years of experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical background (LPN, Technical training, BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule patients for appointments, procedures and services by utilizing the computerized scheduling system in an accurate, efficient manner.
  • Communicate information to patients for procedures, diagnostic imaging, future appointments, outside appointments, or changes in appointments, and respond to questions, concerns, or behaviors.
  • Evaluate dynamic patient needs; revise and coordinate care schedules as necessary.
  • Document and communicate with other team members on changing care needs of patients.
  • Assess, investigate, and report problems, patient/ physician/ office/ departmental complaints, or unusual situations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain current knowledge of computer program changes, updates, rebuilds, and super-user status, as well as regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Represent the Scheduling department in clinical rounds, in-services, care team meetings, committees, and joint projects as a representative of the Scheduling department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
