Bakersfield Post Acute is seeking a dependable and organized Scheduler / Central Supply Clerk to join our team. Requirements

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred
  • Prior scheduling, staffing, or central supply experience preferred
  • Healthcare or skilled nursing experience strongly preferred
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with scheduling/order systems
  • Strong organization, communication, and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly staff schedules
  • Coordinate call-offs, shift coverage, and schedule changes
  • Communicate staffing needs with nursing leadership
  • Maintain attendance and staffing records
  • Ensure compliance with staffing ratios and facility needs
  • Order, receive, and stock central supply items such as briefs, gloves, gowns, and OTC medications
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and keep supplies organized and accessible
  • Monitor supply usage and report shortages or overuse to leadership
  • Assist departments with supply requests and deliveries
  • Track supply budget and expenditures
  • Build positive vendor relationships and place orders through purchasing systems
  • Recommend products or systems that improve efficiency
