This role supports UHPS operational functions related to provider access and utilization. The Strategist continuously evaluates template design and functionality to identify opportunities for improvement. They serve as a subject matter expert for UHPS on resource management and assist in planning, implementation, and outcomes monitoring of best practices across the system. The role involves analyzing key indicator data, benchmarking, and recommending plans of action. The Strategist provides direction on initiatives related to access, physician recruiting, quality & patient experience, and financial performance. They directly participate in system and entity-level projects focused on building volume, maximizing efficiency, and capacity management. This includes completing current state schedule analysis, identifying best practices, standardizing processes, and making recommendations for improvement. The role partners with IT to ensure optimal design and utilization of practice and patient-facing applications and works collaboratively with Patient Access Services to enhance timely access for consumers. Evaluation of template request changes to ensure operational requirements and standards are utilized is also a key responsibility. The Strategist engages as a scheduling design subject matter expert in all current and future digital applications. Additional responsibilities include performing other duties as assigned, complying with all policies and standards, and abiding by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for patients.
