About The Position
Fenwick High School is seeking a Scenic Carpenter and Scenic Painter for their 2026 and 2027 productions of A Christmas Carol and Little Shop of Horrors. This is a part-time position with a specific time commitment for each production. The role involves constructing and painting sets for the school's theatrical productions.
Requirements
- Familiarity with the safe use of power tools.
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints.
- Experience in set construction for the stage.
- Advanced scenic painting skills.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards of safety.
- First Aid and CPR trained.
Responsibilities
- Construct sets for theatrical productions.
- Paint sets for theatrical productions.
- Lead a group of teenagers in scenic construction and painting projects.
- Work with In House Tech Directors on a specific timeline and budgets.
- Maintain a high level of organization and cleanliness of working areas.
Benefits
- Stipend range $3500 - 4200 for the entire year.
