About The Position

Busch Gardens is seeking invited Scare Squad Alumni for seasonal positions to deliver terrifying chills and thrills for Howl-O-Scream. This role involves participating in award-winning scare-event performances and providing a high-quality scare product to guests. Opportunities for employee-only events, leadership roles, and joining the Entertainment Family are available. The event runs from Friday, September 11th to Sunday, November 1st, 2026.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must attend a live audition.
• Must have great showmanship.
• Ability to stand, sit, kneel, crawl, lay down, and/or jump up repeatedly for duration of shift.
• Flexibility in schedule and availability for the duration of the event.
• Must be able to work long sets (multiple hours) doing repetitive movement and vocalizations.
• Must be able to wear make-up and/or masks.
• Must be comfortable working in dark conditions, extreme temperatures, and around theatrical effects such as stage fog, lighting effects, and sound effects.
• Invited Scare Squad Alumni only.
• Must follow emailed instructions to register for Alumni Auditions, including completing application and all registration forms and sign-ups.

Nice To Haves

• Roles may be based on characteristics such as height, physical type, gender, and any other attribute that aligns with the creative vision for our Howl-O-Scream characters.
• Experience is not required, just a passion for Halloween!

Responsibilities

• Be a part of award-winning Scare-event performances and provide a top-notch quality scare product to our seasoned guests and first-time visitors.
• Participate in all physical and vocal warmups and cool downs.
• Be a team player and have a positive attitude.
