About The Position

The Scanner Clerk performs clerical functions related to the scanning of all documents with due diligence. This role involves scanning, verifying, and uploading documents into network storage drives, portable drives, or the NextGen E.H.R. system. The position also includes scanning eFiles, organizing them effectively, and maintaining administrative files. The Scanner Clerk is responsible for scanning, maintaining, and retrieving all records and work files, including checks and billing documents. A key aspect of this role is ensuring excellent customer service to all FHCCGLA patients and maintaining HIPAA compliance by strictly adhering to confidentiality regulations for patient data and the E.H.R./Practice Management System (PMS). The role also requires attending mandatory quarterly staff meetings and trainings and scanning/archiving patient charts. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Computer knowledge a must (Excel, Power Point, Word).
  • High school diploma, minimum (or GED equivalent).
  • Excellent analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clerical functions of scanning of all documents with due diligence.
  • Scan, verify and upload of documents into network storage drives, portable drives or NextGen E.H.R.
  • Scan eFiles and organize in an effective manner.
  • Scan, maintain and manage administrative files.
  • Perform clerical duties of scanning, maintaining and retrieving of all records and work files.
  • Scanning checks and billing documents as assigned.
  • Ensures excellent customer service to all FHCCGLA patients.
  • Ensures HIPAA compliance by maintaining strict confidentiality of all patient data and E.H.R./Practice Management System (PMS) according to regulations and FHCCGLA P & P’s.
  • Attends the following meetings/trainings: Mandatory Quarterly Staff Meeting/Trainings- Quarterly (Jan., Apr., Jul. & Oct.)
  • Scanning and archiving patient charts.
  • All other duties as assigned.
