About The Position

Clear and accurate pricing is a key part of providing a great customer service and a great shopping experience for our customers. If you have a keen attention to accuracy and enjoy the detailed nature of working with signs and tags, a scan position may just be the right one for you! This role provides friendly and attentive customer service as you oversee the day to day operations of the department and supervise the department team. You will create excitement for our shoppers by creating signage for sale items, displays, and endcaps. You will communicate clear and correct pricing to our customers throughout every store department by ensuring consistent and accurate product tagging and handling price change files each week. This role also handles the selection, training, development, and scheduling of scan/pricing associates.

Requirements

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions for equipment, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
• Possess basic computer skills
• Regular vision
• Constant amounts of standing & walking
• Frequent amounts of lifting, carrying, 50 lb, pushing, and pulling loads up to 100 lb, handling, talking, and hearing
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn, differentiate, and retain information regarding product lines/locations
• Ability to operate the cash register/point of sale system, printer, and pricing gun
• 0-2 years of retail experience preferred
• High School Diploma - General Studies
