About The Position

OpenAI is seeking a Scaled Partnerships Manager to manage agency relationships and operating systems for influencer and creator collaborations. This role involves managing key creator marketing agencies and platforms, establishing standards for selection, pricing, deliverables, brand safety, execution, and measurement. The manager will translate go-to-market priorities into repeatable creator programs, oversee the full agency and campaign lifecycle, and ensure programs are culturally credible and operationally rigorous. The position is based in San Francisco, CA, with a hybrid work model and relocation assistance offered.

Requirements

  • 14+ years of experience in creator, influencer, integrated, social, growth, or paid media marketing, including significant agency management.
  • Experience leading high-volume creator programs across multiple campaigns, audiences, markets, budgets, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong track record selecting, managing, and holding creator agencies accountable for creative quality, operational excellence, and business results.
  • Understanding of the full creator marketing lifecycle, from sourcing and vetting through contracting, content development, amplification, reporting, and optimization.
  • Ability to operate creator marketing with the rigor of a performance channel while protecting creator authenticity and audience trust.
  • Understanding of paid social, creator licensing, whitelisting, content testing, attribution, and cross-channel measurement.
  • Ability to build practical systems, standards, benchmarks, and dashboards that improve speed, consistency, transparency, and decision-making.
  • Disciplined budget and agency manager who can negotiate effectively, clarify accountability, and address underperformance quickly.
  • Ability to translate product and go-to-market priorities into clear briefs, audience strategies, and repeatable creator programs.
  • Strong cultural judgment around creator selection, creative control, disclosure, brand safety, rights, and responsible AI communication.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders across Marketing, Product, Communications, Legal, Safety, Finance, Procurement, and regional teams.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and can balance strategic planning with hands-on execution while building a new capability from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Lead scaled creator marketing programs aligned to business priorities.
  • Own the creator agency portfolio, including partner selection, scopes, budgets, staffing, performance expectations, operating cadence, and business reviews.
  • Build a clear agency model that defines each partner’s role, internal and external ownership, and how work moves from brief through launch and reporting.
  • Hold agencies accountable for day-to-day creator sourcing, vetting, negotiation, contracting, content development, execution, and optimization.
  • Partner with Creator Partnerships to determine what belongs in the scaled motion and when a creator requires a bespoke, relationship-led approach.
  • Direct high-volume paid creator programs across the creator spectrum, aligning creator selection, campaign scope, and investment with audience and performance goals.
  • Standardize creator tiering, pricing, usage rights, disclosures, content approvals, brand safety, and escalation processes.
  • Establish consistent briefs, deliverable packages, rate benchmarks, negotiation principles, timelines, and measurement requirements.
  • Partner with Growth and Media on paid amplification, creator licensing, whitelisting, audience testing, and reuse of high-performing content.
  • Set campaign goals and reporting frameworks across awareness, engagement, education, adoption, conversion, content performance, and brand impact.
  • Use performance data, audience insights, and cultural signals to optimize creator mix, creative formats, agency performance, and investment.
  • Coordinate across Brand, Creative, Product Marketing, Growth, Communications, Legal, Safety, Finance, Procurement, and regional teams.
  • Build campaign-level operating infrastructure for scaled creator marketing, including campaign intake and prioritization, calendars, workflows, agency governance, performance dashboards, and post-campaign learning.
  • Protect OpenAI’s brand and user trust by holding agencies and creators to clear standards for accuracy, disclosure, product claims, rights, safety, and responsible AI communication.
