About The Position

Since 1991, TRY Recycling Inc. has been operating as a multi-purpose facility providing collection and processing of construction and demolition of waste for the province of Ontario, along with the composting of leaf and yard waste. We have earned an enviable reputation for industry leadership and product quality. Every day and in more than 24 municipalities across the province, TRY Recycling Inc. delivers made to order recycling solutions for its clients. We work with municipalities, businesses and homeowners who find doing the right thing – the right choice. This is a full-time, permanent position with an hourly rate of $19.16. Candidates must have access to vehicles as public transportation is unavailable.

Requirements

• Must enjoy working outdoors, in all weather conditions
• A minimum of two years of proven customer service experience
• Solid understanding of client service practices and techniques
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Demonstrated a high level of professionalism, personal integrity, and strong work ethic
• Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work independently with little supervision
• Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage daily and weekly tasks
• Demonstrated time management skills
• Confident, consistent, and decisive personality
• Excellent communication written and verbal skills
• Proactive, action-oriented and results-driven
• Resourceful and adapts quickly to changing situations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically in Microsoft Excel
• Possess a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Collecting payment and ensuring that the client’s information is accurate and correct
• Greeting each client in a courteous manner
• Directing clients to the Greeters etc.
• Opening and closing duties
• Locking, and securing all buildings and gates
• Ensuring client safety
• Working outside and filling in as a greeter
• Enforcement of safety rules
• Always aware of clients and surroundings
