Requirements
- Ability to speak English and/or Spanish.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience is preferred, but not required for this position.
Responsibilities
- Performing all duties, including dumping trays, within the Traypack department to fill customer orders.
- Assuring safe, quality products are being produced by immediately addressing any safety and/or quality concerns.
- Dumping - Repeatedly lifting large trays of product weighing up to 50 pounds, carrying, pushing carts, and dumping into metal trays.
- Shoveling product from bins into trays as needed.
- Following correct lifting techniques to prevent injuries.
- Restacking/orienting empty trays on pallet.
- Actively looking for downgrades, contamination, foreign material and reporting immediately as needed.
- Maintaining a clean work area.
- Helping on the line (such as styling/inspecting) when not dumping product.
