About The Position

The Scale Operator will work within a small team of individuals assisting trucks as they enter and exit the facility. The Operators communicate with our Receiving and Shipping Departments notifying team members of the different trucks coming to either department. This position will be working a Monday through Friday schedule from 11am – 7pm.

Requirements

• Computer skills to include some prior knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Good communication skills; will be working with truck drivers where English is a second language to them
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Work with minimal supervision
• Work well with others and communicate with managers and co-workers
• Self-starter having initiative

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a similar setting is a plus

Responsibilities

• Operating two scales for trucks and rail cars
• Communication with truck drivers
• Processing shipping paperwork and entering material receipts into a scale program
• Communication with receiving and warehouse to insure inbound and outbound material flow has been properly recorded and processed
• Answering calls that come into the main phone line
• Preparing reports to be distributed to various team members
