About The Position

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a Scale Operator for the 1st shift. This role is primarily responsible for accurately weighing product and placing the correct label on boxes. The operator must always use and maintain personal protective equipment and work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and local, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations. Requirements

• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.
• Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.
• Must wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).

Nice To Haves

• Poultry experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately weigh product and place correct label on box.
• Lift and place 40 - 70 pound boxes of product onto track.
• Ensure proper ice coverage on all product around employee’s scale.
• May be required to dump product from lugs into a combo.
• Ability to work cooperatively with supervisors, coworkers.
• Do all tasks assigned by members of management.
• Follow directions and work in other departments as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
